AirTn Forum: ENABLING AND PROMISING TECHNOLOGIES FOR ACHIEVING THE GOALS OF EUROPE’S VISION FLIGHTPATH 2050
On 26-27 September 2013, the Forum: “Enabling and promising technologies for achieving the goals of Europe’s Vision Flightpath 2050″ will take place at the Cranfield Univerisity Campus.
The objectives of the Forum organized by Air-TN are:
To further disseminate the new Vision for Air Transport Syme (ATS) set in Flightpath 2050 with a special focus on Long Term (2050); to further disseminate the expected research needs as captured by the new ACARE strategic research agenda; to present information on Horizon 2020 and specifically Pioneering Research perspectives; to present the industrial, research centres and academic view of the Future ATS and the achieved results of some FP7 funded R&D projects dedicated to Pioneering the Future ATS;
Two round tables are also foreseen to discuss the following key questions:
o do we have already some enabling technologies for the Flightpath 2050 goals?
o in which areas/topics more effort and new ideas are still needed?
o what are the show stoppers to be overcome?
The Forum aims to bring together different actors (researchers, airplane manufacturer, airlines, operators, decision makers, etc.) to discuss recent results of long-term R&TD projects, the Vision for the 2050 ATS, and the expected gaps to be covered in Horizon 2020.
